Contra Dance at the Grange Hall
In the tradition of New England’s earliest settlers, Vineyard Preservation Trust and Circuit Arts invite you to a contra dance to celebrate the traditions of the Grange Hall as part of the fundraising campaign to restore/rejuvenate the historic Hall. No experience necessary!
About
The Grange Hall in West Tisbury, built by the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society in 1859 at the island’s crossroads, has long been a center of agriculture and commerce. For decades, the landmark was the hub of weekly farmers markets and the beloved Ag Fair.
Time, extensive use, and the island’s salty climate have deteriorated the historic Grange Hall. Urgent revitalization is necessary to meet modern standards, ensure safety, and address ongoing wear and tear.
As a valued community space, we seek your support in a fundraising campaign to strengthen the landmark’s structure, install a new roof, and preserve the hall’s historic features.
