Join us for a free reading of Thomas Dresser’s Ghosts of Martha’s Vineyard
Local author and historian Thomas Dresser explores haunted happenings from all six island towns, as well as tales of pirates, murder and the afterlife in a free reading of his 13th publication, Ghosts of Martha’s Vineyard.
Martha’s Vineyard has always been known as a charming seaside destination. But on this island, darker tales lie beneath its familiar charms. Shiver at the House of Correction, where Old Joe patrols the cells in the afterlife. Savor spirits at the Kelley House, where the ghost of a seafarer’s widow rolls Christmas ornaments across the floor. Meander into the old Victorian Inn, where honeymooners got spooked by a rug that wiggled from beneath their four-poster bed. These and other spooky tales await.
