Ways to support the Taste
Thirty-five years ago, the Taste was started as a fundraiser for the restoration of the newly acquired Flying Horses Carousel. More potluck than posh, it was a small event in 1986, but has grown immensely in popularity and participation over the years.
The Taste is now the most important annual fundraiser for the Vineyard Trust, a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. By attending, you are supporting the preservation of these landmark buildings like the Flying Horses Carousel, Alley’s General Store and the Old Whaling Church. The proceeds of this event are used to restore and maintain the twenty historic landmarks in the Trust’s stewardship.
