Taste of The Vineyard

Taste of the Vineyard, or “The Taste,” as it is affectionately known, is the most anticipated event on Martha’s Vineyard.

Thirty-six years ago, The Taste was started as a fundraiser for the restoration of the newly acquired Flying Horses Carousel. More potluck than posh, this small event has grown to be a grand two-night affair, kicking off the Vineyard’s summer season.

The Taste is the Vineyard Preservation Trust’s most important annual fundraiser. By attending, you are stewarding our work to preserve and care for the island’s most iconic, historic landmarks. VPT is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, 50% of your ticket is tax-deductible.

The celebratory Gourmet Stroll is the season’s kick-off event, the first of the two-night Taste of the Vineyard affair; guests eat, drink, and dance the night away with new and old friends featuring the island’s finest restaurants, caterers, and beverage purveyors. This year we will be limiting the number of guests, adding an outdoor lounge, VIP area, and featuring the Vineyard’s best food and beverage vendors.
