Historic Tours at The Carnegie Heritage Center

The Carnegie Heritage Center’s Historic Tour is a 60-minute guided walking tour of Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard. Start your time at The Carnegie with the dynamic ‘Living Landmarks’ exhibit, reading library, and heritage shop. Take to the streets, winding through the harbor and Main Streets to learn about the Island’s rich maritime history– from the nineteenth century to the present. Go inside six Vineyard Preservation Trust historic landmarks, and see other important sites along Edgartown Harbor, ending at the Daniel Fisher House.
Fall Series: Coffee & Conversation at The Carnegie

Join us at The Carnegie Heritage Center in Edgartown for a new Fall series, Coffee & Conversation.
The series will feature small group gatherings for intimate conversations with notable locals. Our second speaker of the series will feature the Executive Director & President of Sheriffs Meadow. He is also a local author and wrote a wonderful book called A Life on Martha’s Vineyard.
Adam Moore has served as the Executive Director and President of Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation since 2008. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Connecticut Forest * Park Association, as the land superintendent for Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank Commission, and as forester for Connwood Foressters, Inc. He earned a Master of Forestry degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 1995 and a B.A. in Biology from Yale College in 1992.
The series is free of charge and open to all 18+. Limited seating is available.
Tours of The Flying Horses

Take a tour of America’s Oldest Carousel! No reservation is required. Learn about the history of the carousel, get to know the horses, and the building that is a National Registered Landmark.
The Flying Horses is located at the bottom of Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs.
