Naming Opportunities
Your Legacy, Rooted in Community.
A naming opportunity is a meaningful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a milestone, or create a personal connection to one of our Island’s most treasured landmarks. Whether it’s a handcrafted bench at Union Chapel, a brick at The Carnegie, or another special place within our care, your gift helps preserve history while creating a lasting legacy.
Each naming opportunity includes a personalized dedication, creating a visible and lasting connection to the history of Martha’s Vineyard. Your generosity ensures that the the 20 historic landmarks remain vital gathering places for worship, art, music, community, and celebration.
Time-Honored Overview
Naming opportunities are offered for the life of the object or landmark. To ensure the highest standards of preservation, the Vineyard Preservation Trust may occasionally need to relocate, replace, modify, or retire a named object. Should that occur, the naming designation will conclude with the life of the original item, and does not automatically transfer or renew.
