Hosting your event at a Vineyard Preservation Trust property supports our mission to keep the island’s historic landmarks in public use. What amenities are included in my reservation?

We provide “space only” rentals. We have a list of preferred vendors which includes tent and party rental companies, caterers, florists, photographers, and many more. Hired vendors must supply all equipment, food & drink, decorating, and staffing needs. For a list of preferred vendors, please click the “Event Resources” button.

Can I serve food and drink at my event?

Please review our recommended list of caterers. You are not restricted to this list, but we require that your caterer be licensed and insured. The catering staff will be responsible for all of the set up, event staffing, and clean up.

What are the policies regarding live music?

We have a great list of preferred musicians. Any musicians not included on this list must be approved by the Vineyard Preservation Trust before the event.

To respect our neighbors, music must end promptly at 9:00pm. In addition, all musical instruments must be played without amplification. Exceptions are made for an electronic keyboard and a microphone for a vocalist / guests. DJ’s and other amplified digital music devices are not allowed.

What are the policies regarding times for events?

Both live music and the service of liquor must end promptly at 9:00 p.m. We request that your guests depart the property no later than 9:30 p.m. Your catering staff must vacate no later than 10:00 p.m.

Performances & Concerts:

All performing arts events must end by 10 p.m. to comply with town noise ordinances.

How far in advance should I reserve my venue?

You may inquire at any time, but the sooner the better! Each venue has its own policies and permit requirements. We will review and guide you throughout the entire reservation process.
